Jeff Fahrenwald

Jeffrey Fahrenwald is the director of the MBA program and teaches in the areas of human relations, management, leadership and international studies in the MBA program. His practical work experience includes positions such as chief operating officer and director of quality and training. He continues to be an active organizational consultant and trainer focusing on strategic planning, organizational leadership, and management development. He also has served on numerous not-for-profit boards.

Robert Evans
Robert Evans is the chair of the Department of Economics, Business and Accounting. Evans teaches "The Legal Environment of Business” in the MBA program. He is actively involved in the Rockford University public policy program, trains managers on law-related topics, is active on not-for-profit boards, and is a political consultant and analyst.

Ina Freeman, Ph.D.
teaches marketing and research-related courses.  She has many years of experience teaching marketing courses internationally.  She has also worked independently helping businesses develop their marketing strategies.

Dr. Stephen Hicks


Stephen Hicks
teaches business ethics. He lectures locally and nationally to professional business groups, has published a number of articles, and has completed a book on the subject. He is also the director of the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship at Rockford University.

Brian Huels
teaches a variety of accounting courses at the MBA level.   He has started up several small businesses and remains active in his field by consulting with a variety of clients all of which allow the classroom experience to be enhanced.

Stanley Klatka teaches marketing, consumer behavior and entrepreneurship courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  He brings over 25 years of experience with international commerce. He has also owned or co-owned three different entrepreneurial businesses.  He received his MBA from Dominican University.

William Lewis

Bill Lewis is an Associate Professor at Rockford University teaching courses in accounting, business strategies, and the senior seminars. His work experience includes positions in both public and private accounting. He continues to provide tax and consulting services to both for profit and not for profit organizations.

Caleb Lewis, Ph.D. teaches finance-related courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.  He received his Ph.D. from NIU in Economics with specializations in Labor Economics and Public Finance.

Gary Lubbert teaches research-related courses. He is actively involved in numerous community-based learning projects and serves on several non-profit boards. He also conducts marketing and business-related research for area firms. Lubbert received the Excellence in Teaching Award at Rockford University for his outstanding teaching.

Dr. Masoud Moallem


Masoud Moallem, Ph.D.
teaches monetary economics, econometrics and economic forecasting as applied to financial and commodity markets. His quantitative skills and computer expertise solidly complement the MBA program. He is an active researcher and uses his work and consulting experience to enhance the classroom environment.

Christine Albert is an adjunct professor who teaches accounting courses.  Her practical work experience includes various corporate accounting/finance positions across her career.  She is currently serving on the board for Financial Executives International and has previously held other board positions for financial organizations.  In addition, she is actively involved in numerous not-for-profit groups.




Andrea Gibbs is an adjunct professor who teaches communication courses.  Gibbs has experience in product marketing.  She brings skills such as brand management, public speaking, and marketing communications to the MBA program.  She currently owns her own consulting business called Act2Strategists.  She also is an instructor for leadership training for the Rockford University Executive Development Program.

Lori Glawe is an adjunct professor who teaches communication courses.  Lori has top level experience in Operations and Human Resources in both manufacturing and distribution multinational firms. She brings knowledge of customer sectors including commercial business and Department of Defense to the MBA program.  Lori previously held various board positions in the community.  lglawe@rockford.edu




John Phelps is an adjunct professor who teaches finance courses.  John is the Executive Director or the Rockford Local Development Corporation, a private, not-for-profit economic development agency.  Phelps is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he earned a master’s degree in economics and finance.




Jim Turmo is an adjunct professor who teaches project management courses and is a PMP certified project manager by the Project Management Institute.  He works full time directing the supply chain for Thermo Fisher Scientific and also leads the Rockford University MBA Advisory Board.
