At Rockford University, we seek to take our students beyond a language. Students within the department of Modern and Classical Languages develop the ability to understand, speak, read and write in a second language effectively while gaining a better understanding of other cultures and other modes of expression in order to broaden international awareness. Graduates from our department are well-prepared for graduate studies along with careers in education, international business, communication, government, social services and other related fields.
