Davar Ardalan wrote a memoir, My Name is Iran, about her experiences after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and she is also senior producer of Weekend Edition on National Public Radio. Her book is a personal and political look at the battle for change in modern Iran, a country still struggling for a lawful society—and a country that Americans need desperately to understand. Ardalan’s book shares the moving stories of three generations of women in her family who all lived in both Iran and America.
