Carol Anshaw is an American novelist and short story writer as well as a painter. Her books include Lucky in the Corner, Seven Moves, Aquamarine, and Carry the One. Her stories have been anthologized in The Best American Short Stories in 1994, 1998, and 2012. She acquired her MFA at Vermont College of Fine Arts (1992). Anshaw teaches in the MFA Writing program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently she is working on a sequence of paintings that will be the focus of this exhibition.
