Fall 2012 Leadership Certificate Program
LEADERSHIP: Nonprofit
governance and executive leadership. Competent, ethical leadership determines
the long-term success of nonprofit organizations. This course helps nonprofit
executives evaluate and understand their leadership strengths, challenges and
overall leadership capabilities. This course discusses various leadership
principles including: Jim Collins’ Good to Great and Peter Senge’s The
Fifth Discipline. The course includes leadership styles, the roles of communication,
trust in the leadership equation, ethical leadership behavior and governance
principles that power exceptional boards. Each participant will complete an
assessment of leadership in their organization and a personal leadership
