United Way will be introducing GET
CONNECTED, a new and improved Volunteer Database Management system. There will
be many benefits to groups who create a Get Connected page for their individual
organization. This program will give organizations access to what we
believe will ultimately be the largest data base of volunteers in the
community. Once you create a page which can contain your volunteer
opportunities, photos, videos, etc., anyone interested in the category of
services you provide will easily be able to find you and sign up to volunteer.
In addition, you can post events or last minute volunteer needs which can be
featured on the site and also e-mailed to those volunteers who have expressed
an interest in these sort of events. You would put the link to the site
directly on your website for visitors to your site who are interested in

will allow organizations to promote their Facebook pages and encourage
volunteers to share their experiences about volunteering with your
The list of benefits to using this site go on and on so
please join us and after the session, leave with a fully built volunteer page
for your organization. You will also receive training on how to use the site
and the ways it can benefit your organization as you work to promote your
mission and the opportunities you have available.
