Mummies of the World The largest exhibition of mummies ever assembled is currently on view at the Milwaukee Public Museum. This scientific study of mummies provides insight into the lives of ancient peoples from every region of the world. Through interactive and multimedia exhibits, learn about mummification and view ancient mummies and related artifacts from Asia, Oceania, South America, Europe, and Egypt.
Bus Trip The AIA, Rockford Society, in collaboration with the Rockford College Alumni Association, is pleased to announce a bus trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum for the Mummies of the World exhibition. The plans for the day are described below.
Date: Saturday, April 16, 2011 Departure Time: 9:30 A.M. (from the south end of Rockford College Parking Lot A) Return Time: approximately 5:00 P.M. Cost: $69 (Regular) $65.50 (Seniors: 60+) Milwaukee Public Museum Members: $58.50 (Regular; may have 2 guests at this price) $56.50 (Seniors: 60+; may have 2 guests at this price)
The fee includes round trip transportation, entrance fee to the museum, entrance fee for the Mummies of the World display, and lunch. Lunch will be at Mader’s. Please note that the price of lunch is an all-inclusive cost of $16.50, with three menu choices, including a vegetarian option.
