This is a Half the Sky event.
Journalist Sheryl WuDunn and her husband Nicholas Kristof authored the New York Times bestseller, Half the Sky.
The book follows the stories of extraordinary women around the world as
the struggle to overcome oppression. They argue that empowering women
is the key to alleviating poverty and uplifting communities in
developing countries.
