For three performances only, Linda Abronski and Stephen F. Vrtol III ’79, under the direction of Bern Sundstedt ’77, will revive their production of "Love Letters,” by A.R. Gurney, that played to sold out houses at Rockford’s New American Theater (NAT) in 1993. The popular play depicts a fifty-year love affair carried on primarily through letters, written in and about a world where letter-writing was very much an essential mode of communication, especially between men and women.
What a thrill to have Linda, Steve and Bern back together again! The trio were mainstays at NAT. Steve and Linda have continued their stage work with Artists’ Ensemble, Rockford’s professional equity theater. Bern, Vice President for Advancement at Rockford College, has appeared on Broadway and in regional theater. Designs for the production will be executed by RC professors Noel Rennerfeldt and Jeff Hendry. We hope you can join us for this special production to benefit Project 165.
