Wicky
Green was named the Head Coach of the men's soccer
program in the summer of 2007. Coach Green served
as an assistant coach with the Regent's Women's Soccer
team for the past two seasons.
A native
of Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, Green came to Rockford
College after graduating from Long Island University
in Brooklyn, New York, where he gained a bachelor
of science degree in Sports Science in 2003.
Green has
35 years experience in club and college soccer including
a coaching internship for the Long Island University
Men's Soccer team in 2002.
He also
served as the head soccer coach at Camp Olympia in
the summer of 2004. As the assistant coach of
the New Day Kickers soccer club from 1978-80, Green's
team (Warren Hall High School) won the high school
championship Adidas Cup in 1979 and won the North
Central St. Andrew Community League Championship in
both 1978 and 1979.
Green is
a licensed U.S.S.F. Class D soccer coach. Green
now resides in Rockford an is currently working towards
his Masters in Teaching degree.
