Rockford College will provide the following at home events:  Water (coolers on all team sidelines) and cups (please supply your own bottles); Ice and bags (located on all team sidelines); Bench Towel; Vacuum splints; Crutches; Emergency communication devices; Therapeutic modalities* such as ultrasound, electric stimulation, hydrocollator packs, ice packs and warm or cold whirlpools.  A Certified Athletic Trainer will be provided at all home varsity events.  If taping or wrapping services are necessary, the visiting team must provide all supplies.

Sports Information

The Rockford College sports information office will be happy to assist visiting teams in the distribution of their post-event results.  We contact all the local Rockford-area media and A.P., after each contest.  Additionally, information will be sent to the visiting S.I.D.’s office.  Results will also be posted on our website at www.rockford.edu as soon as possible after each event.  Current rosters, schedules and statistics can also be found on our web site.

We request a list of media contacts – with phone number and/or fax number - at least 24 hours in advance of a contest.  Please define whether each contact will need a call with a score only, fax of a box score only or fax of the complete statistical package.  Media lists can be sent to us via e-mail at (dhowell@rockford.edu).

The StatCrew system is used for football, men’s & women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s & women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and tennis.  In the above mentioned sports, we would appreciate receiving an e-mailed StatCrew roster file the day before the game, as well.  In most cases, result packets will be made within 15 minutes after the conclusion of the event.  We will also e-mail StatCrew game files to visiting S.I.D.s

If you know you will have media in attendance, please call (or have them call) at least one day in advance to reserve a spot in the press area.  Likewise, if you will have electronic media attending, and will need a phone outlet, please make sure to call us at least one week ahead of time.
