The middle 50 percent earned between $40,140 and $57,490. The lowest
10 percent earned less than $33,970, and the highest 10 percent

According to preliminary
findings of the 2004 National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses,
the actual average annual earnings of RNs employed full-time in
2004 were $57,784 which appears to be an increase from average earnings
in 2000 ($46,782).
