Our curriculum is constantly crossing borders. Even our survey courses merge British and American literature with texts by the ancient Greeks and the writings of Chinese dissidents. Our courses offer you the opportunity to follow the migratory patterns of African Americans, enter King Arthur's world, or delve into Middle Eastern poetry!

Class sizes typically range between fifteen and twenty students. Our upper-level courses often have as few as six to ten students. This allows professors and students the opportunity to get to know each other and meet their educational goals.
