I Performing Arts I Programs of Study I Musical Theatre

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre combines the best combination of theoretical foundations, practical classroom training and on-stage performance. BFA majors undertake in-depth preparation in music, theatre and dance in concert with the finest in liberal arts learning. Students in the BFA will also graduate with an understanding of the production and technical aspects of theatre.

Majors are required to audition for every main-stage production and are encouraged to audition for as many Three-Penny and Artists' Ensemble Theatre productions as their schedules will allow. The BFA in Musical Theatre is a four-year program that also allows for an optional semester of study at Regents College in London. The BFA degree is designed to prepare the student for a career as a musical theatre performer. Admittance to the program is by audition and must coincide with acceptance into the college.
