rhurst@rockford.eduRyan is from Mayville, Wisconsin and is a graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, where he majored in Sociology and minored in Religious Studies. He is a proud Cheesehead, having lived in Wisconsin for the first twenty-two years of his life before coming to Rockford College.
As the Residence Hall Director (RHD) of Cummings Complex, Ryan oversees the community development and operations of Emerson, Barnes, Talcott, and Lathrop Halls. He supervises four Resident Assistants (RAs).
He chose to work in student life to be a role model, resource, and mentor to college students, in hopes of helping them become the best citizens, family members, friends, role models, and overall people they can be.
In his free time, Ryan loves spending time with his wonderful wife Karen, watching and passionately rooting for all Wisconsin sports teams, being with family and friends, playing recreational sports, going for a drive, going out to eat, and spending more time with his wife Karen.

Beth is from Rockton, Illinois. She attended Rockford College for her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned her Master of Science in Education Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
As the Assistant Dean of Students/ Director of Residence Life, I directly oversee the Residence Life staff and department as well as the students living on campus.
