We encourage you to change the world.
On behalf of the entire Rockford College community, welcome! We are pleased that you are considering Rockford College and would be honored to have you join us as we try to change the world one person at a time.
Rockford College puts a high premium on service to others in the tradition of Jane Addams, Nobel Peace Prize winner and one of our esteemed graduates. Jane Addams changed her world, principally through her work with Hull-House, a settlement house in Chicago that reached out to society’s disadvantaged and disenfranchised. Today, her legacy lives on as we seek to help people create a better life for themselves. Our vision, to be Jane Addams college in the 21st century, is our guiding principle.
Beyond our tradition of service to others, you will find here a solid commitment to the liberal arts. Our programs focus on creating knowledgeable, world-conscious, well-rounded citizens who can think and adapt to their changing world. You will also find here a close-knit community of learning, a myriad of activities to help you grow personally and professionally, and the kind of support from staff you expect and appreciate.
Again, thank you for your interest in Rockford College, and I hope to see you on campus soon!

— before I moved into education.” ...
