Robert and Elizabeth Hutchcroft Award for Achievement in Organic ChemistryThe award was established by Professor Alan Hutchcroft of the Rockford College Chemistry Department to honor his parents for their inspiration as teachers and for their belief in the importance of reading.
Hutchcroft ScholarshipsThe Hutchcroft Scholarships are endowed by Alan and Elaine Hutchcroft to honor his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Hutchcroft. Formerly, the Bergmann-Benjamin Moore Scholarships, these were renamed to honor the memory of Alan Hutchcroft, who passed away in 2005.
Tobias G. Lierman Memorial AwardThis award is presented annually to honor the memory of Toby Lierman, former science student at the college, who died in 1991. It is given to that student who has been outstanding as a laboratory assistant or science tutor.
Justine S. Walhout ScholarshipInaugurated in 1998, this award honors the outstanding junior or senior chemistry student (or one who will be a junior the following fall). The scholarship was funded by friends and alumnae of Rockford College to honor Dr. Walhout, professor emerita of chemistry.
