- Why a career and internship fair?
Career and Internship Fair provides employers with an opportunity to meet talented students and alumni, collect resumes and interview candidates. It also, allows employers to reach a large pool of potential candidates.
- Why offer an internship?
Almost four out of five respondents to NACE’s 2012 Internship & Co-op Survey reported that feeding the entry-level hire pipeline was the primary focus of their internship programs. In fact, the survey showed that of the total expected new college hires in 2011-12, more than 40 percent came from employers’ own internship programs. Internships are also a great way to determine if a student is a good fit for your company. According to the National Association of Universities and Employers, employers with internship programs view their internships as an effective way of identifying and connecting with talent.
