If the position requires a college degree and is full time, Career Services can also post the position to www.iscpa.org  for students and alumni of other small colleges in Illinois to also view.

Additionally, Career Services welcomes the opportunity to team with employers to recruit and hold interviews on campus.

Internship and Career Fair
We host an internship and career fair each spring. Our 2012 internship and career fair is being held on Friday, March 16th from 1-4pm. If you are interested in participating, please see below for further details and registration information. 

Date: March 16, 2012
Time: 1:00 to 4:00pm, Employer registration begins at 12:15pm
Location: Regents Hall in Burpee Center – 2nd floor
Who: Students and alumni from Rockford College and the surrounding community.

• Why an internship and career fair?
  An internship and career fair connects current students and graduates with internship and job opportunities. Internship and career fairs also give employers the chance to meet a large pool of potential candidates.
  
  

• Why host an intern?
  Internships provide employers the opportunity to give students a wonderful learning experience. Internships are also a great way to determine if a student is a good match for your company. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, employers with internship programs view their internships as an effective way of identifying and connecting with talent.
  
  

• What is the cost to register?
  There is a $50 registration that includes one eight foot table, two chairs, and lunch and refreshments for two recruiters. If additional chairs are needed, please contact us.
  
  If you need electricity for your booth, there is no charge, but you must let us know at least one week in advance.
  
  Payment must be received prior to the fair in order to finalize registrations.
  
  We accept credit card registrations including Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and checks can be made payable to Rockford College.

• Is there a cancellation fee?
  Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the fair will only be refunded half of the registration fee, but those received prior to the two week window will receive a full refund.

• Speed Networking
  In the spring, we offer a speed networking event where students get the chance to meet with ten professionals for ten minutes each. This event allows students to practice their interviewing and networking skills, and employers get the chance to mentor students and also potentially find candidates if they have available internships or jobs (although it is not required for employers to have open positions in order to participate). There is no cost to attend. Please email careersv@rockford.edu or call 815-226-4022 for further details.
