Rockford University:
Founded in 1847, Rockford University is a small, private co-educational institution. The hands-on, practical liberal arts education provides students with the tools to succeed in life, and the opportunity to change the world around them. One of our many distinguished alumni, Jane Addams – founder of Chicago’s Hull-House and 1931 Nobel Peace Prize winner – believed that education and service are linked, and we continue that tradition of learning and service today. Rockford University is a community that is actively curious, creative, compassionate and connected. Among its many accolades, Rockford University is honored to have a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s leading advocate for the liberal arts and sciences at the undergraduate level.

Physical location: Located in the Rock River Valley, Rockford University is less than 90 minutes from Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., and is easily accessible by major forms of transportation. The campus includes more than 150 beautiful park-like acres of land and is centered in the geographic heart of Rockford, Ill., one of the largest cities in Illinois.
